The Foundation was an early supporter of contemporary and traditional Chinese art programs. The programs it funded between 2007 and 2023 aimed to engage broad audiences and improve mutual understanding across cultures. Encouraged by the increased number of funders entering this space, the Foundation is now primarily focusing on supporting projects that tell the story of Chinese diasporas through its Arts and Chinese Heritage grants.
