Chinese Art

Art Gallery of New South Wales

Grant period

The exhibition provided significant entry points into Chinese art, culture, and history. The artworks selected elucidated an ancient concept of the universe and the worldview of the Chinese, attesting to the interconnectedness of humanity and nature. Insights from Buddhism, Confucianism, and Daoism were drawn on to address issues of moral philosophy and environment ethics.
