International Network for Aid, Relief and Assistance (INARA) provides medical treatment for children from conflict areas who have catastrophic injuries or illnesses and are unable to access care due to war. In addition to medical treatment, INARA provides the logistical and psychological support, lodging, and non-medical assistance that are critical for successful treatment. This grant allows INARA to sponsor the medical care, particularly reconstructive surgeries and prostheses, of 30 injured refugee children, currently on the organization’s waiting list, who have very limited access to advanced medical services due to their refugee status, which is compounded by language barriers, bureaucratic obstacles, limitations on the aid programs they have access to, and high costs of procedures, transportation, and medicines.
