Grant period

2021 - 2023

With support from the Foundation, The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is elevating contemplative practices to a widely accepted behavior within the organization. In doing so, TNC expects to achieve greater mission impact, improve the performance of teams and leaders, and support the wellbeing of staff. TNC supports the cultivation of compassion and mindfulness in leaders and staff members around the world by providing training and certification in contemplative practices to a group of internal staff who serve as coaches to other colleagues; improving the performance of staff teams through coaching on contemplative practices and encouraging a shift of team norms; offering virtual programs on contemplative practices to those already enrolled in leader development as well as other interested staff; and making Headspace available to all staff.
