Kids in Need of Defense

Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) is an international organization focused on unaccompanied children’s legal rights, safety, and wellbeing throughout their migration journeys. KIND is deepening its efforts to create a culture of organizational mindfulness, resiliency, and compassion. Beginning with an initial grant in 2020 and followed by renewal support in 2022, Foundation support encompasses a suite of mindfulness offerings for all 250 employees, including training for senior leadership, such as integrating mindfulness as part of organizational visioning and strategic planning. These practices will be aligned with KIND’s internal work on resiliency, wellness, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
