Guadalupe Mendoza-Trejo, Consulting Program Officer, joined the RHNHFF Global in 2021 to work on several Emerging Initiatives, with most of her efforts focused on its new grantmaking in support of vulnerable children at several global hot spots, including the U.S.-Mexico border and Syrian refugees at Europe’s southern border region. Guadalupe is based in Mexico City, and she has worked in philanthropy and the social sector in Mexico for more than 20 years, focusing on a range of substantive issues around governance, accountability, gender equity, civic space, economic development, grant making practices, and institutional development. She has consulted for several global philanthropies, including the Ford Foundation, Open Society Foundations, and the Oak Foundation. She spent several years at the Hewlett Foundation where she served as Associate Program Officer, Program Officer, and Acting Managing Director for the Global Development and Population Program in Mexico.
