The American Literary Translators Association

The American Literary Translators Association (ALTA) is a nonprofit arts membership association that provides programs and professional affiliation to the literary translation community. ALTA’s Emerging Translator Mentorship Program is designed to establish and facilitate a close working relationship between an experienced translator and an emerging translator on a literary translation project selected by the emerging translator. The Foundation supports two Emerging Translator Mentorships for literature from Hong Kong translated into English, with the goal of making quality Hong Kong literary works available to a wider audience beyond Hong Kong.
